Security and Safety
We are fully aware that you want to feel that you are playing in a safe and secure environment. You are after all, trusting us with a very important thing – your money! At PokerLoco we take this issue very seriously and take every possible precaution to make sure that all processes and games are trustworthy.
The communication between your computer and our server in Costa Rica is encrypted using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol, and using Thawte as certification provider. This means that all sensitive information such as your name and address, credit card numbers that go back and forth between the computers are not visible to anyone else.
At PokerLoco each player's cards are sent exclusively to that particular player's computer – the cards can therefore not be viewed from anywhere else. All game activities are logged and saved in a database. We are therefore able to analyze the hands in the game log, and search for suspicious playing patterns.
Management will thoroughly investigate all possible complaints registered by players suspecting collusion. Hand history transcripts are available for all players and will show the exact betting of each game and the final hands of all players that called the river card. Any player that attempts to collude at PokerLoco will be permanently banned from our games.
As an extra security measure, it is not possible for two players with the same IP number* (on the same computer or same network) to play at the same table. *This is the unique number of your computer.
