What is a Tracking URL?
A tracking URL (or tracker) is a specific web address used for tracking your players so that we can pay you what you have earned as an affiliate when marketing PokerLoco. An example of a tracking URL looks like this:
https://www.pokerloco.com/en/pokersignup/register.htm?pokeraffiliate=fb5af99a95f7.
A tracking URL is automatically generated when you create a tracker (see Trackers under My affiliate Account). As long as you use the html generated for the banners and links under Marketing Tools, your tracking URL will automatically be included in the banner or link.
Since each tracking URL is unique, when a player registers on PokerLoco through one of your tracking URLs, we credit that player to your Affiliate Account. When using a tracking URL, there is no need for the player to also enter a sign up bonus code because our system automatically knows this player was referred by you. Please make sure you link correctly to ensure you get credit for all your players.
How can I track my performance and the activity of my players?
Once you are an affiliate, you have secure web access to an extensive set of tools for managing your Affiliate Account. These include statistics on player activity, revenue generation, period earnings and payment status.
How does PokerLoco make sure that the players I refer will be tracked to me (my affiliate account)?
There are three ways we track traffic from affiliates, to ensure that you get properly credited for a player:
1) Link: someone clicks on a link (banner or text) on your website and goes directly to PokerLoco where he/she signs up. As long as you use the html code generated when choosing banner or links under Marketing Tools your tracker code will automatically be included.
2) Cookie: someone clicks on a link, but chooses not to register immediately with PokerLoco. You will still be credited with the customer if that person registers at PokerLoco within seven (7) days and has not replaced that cookie with another affiliate's cookie.
3) Offline (Sign Up Bonus Code): If you for exampel want to hand out flyers, an offline code is necessary to track the players to you. That is simply made by registering an offline bonus code when you create a tracker. It can be wise to keep that bonus code as simple as possible as the players need to register that code when signing up at PokerLoco in order to be tracked to you.
