Going to Cannes this weekend the 11-13th?

Join our Pro and Team player Kevin KGOULE Durand in Cannes for the, Cannes Croisette Hold’em series. Kevin will represent PokerLoco during this event and we will update you all with his progress.

Kevin aim to make the Final Table, making the FT will open up for him going to Vegas this summer to play the WSOP Main event.

Antoine “LocoShensen” Bureau bust out of WSOP Side Event 8

Las Vegas, Nevada Antoine “LocoShensen” Bureau, sponsored by PokerLoco, yesterday played WSOP Side Event 8 during the annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, USA.

Level 1

Antoine went into the tournament with a good start during the first level, making some good money using a small hand, going up to 6625 in chips before the first break. He had oppurtunities to get an even better start during the first level as he held both AA and KK at two occassions, unfortunately all players at the table folded pre-flop.

Level 2 and 3

Play after the break started good with AQ and flop showing Q high after which Antoine made a bet and the only remaining player folds, leading to an increase in chips up to 11k. After this, he did not get any playable hand for one hour as well as loosing a pot during a battle of blinds. Antoine goes into the break with 6750.

Level 4 and 5

Once again a good start when with 99 Antoine raised pre-flop. 3 players went along when the board shows 986 out of which 2 are clubs. Mr. Bureau makes a bet of 1200 which get called by one of the remaining players. Turn shows 3d and Antoine bets 2500 after which his opponent folds. One again back att 11k.

After this comes a hand where the player under the gun raises 800 and the +1 calls. Antoine sits with AQ of spades, raising to 2200 and the +1 calls. Flop comes J high, check check, Antoine bets 3k after which first folds and the last bet all-in leading to Antoine folding. After this hand Antoine was down 5.5k.

Then comes nice starting hand of  99 against A10. The guy raises pre-flop and LocoShensen goes pushes all-in. 97J on the flop, turn showing 3 and river A. Stack 11k.

Antoine looses and AK after that followed by a dinner break while holding 9k4.

Level 6

After 30 min Antoine is down to 8k. Then, he get’s QQ as a guy at the table opens for 1200. Antoine who is sitting on the big blind pushes all-in that gets called. The caller shows AA agains Antoines two dames. This is the end of the road for Antoine Bureau.

First poker tournament in Okayama City, Japan

Okayama City, Japan VIP and Team PokerLoco player Yuji Masaki on May 30th held the first of many poker tournaments in Okayama City, Japan. The tournament hosted a crowd of 25 people who all were curious to learn more about the game of poker and their chance of winning the main prize, consisting of a ticket to play one of the WSOP 2010 side events.

We provided this live poker event in Okayama City with not only decks, shirts and merchandise but also $500 to the pot as money being deposited into the participants recently opened accounts at PokerLoco, for them to enjoy on our online poker tables.

The winner of the tournament was David Neil Rohde and we would like to congratulate him to a great display of poker skill. David Neil originates from Australia but is currently residing in Japan, working as a english teacher.

Winner got ticket WSOP $1000 side event

As the winner of the poker tournament, David Neil will be joining Yuji to travel to Las Vegas, Nevada and play as a PokerLoco player in one of the $1000 side events. We wish you the best of luck and hope that this will one of many exciting poker experiences to come on your behalf!

The event was arranged by Yuji Masaki together with the support of PokerLoco. Yuji is a skillful and experienced poker player who has had many great results on poker tables in both Asia and the US. In 2008 he finished 5th in the Asian Pacific Poker Tour, receiving a good $25,060 in winnings. Last year he went to Las Vegas, representing PokerLoco in the WSOP.

Will also be playing WSOP Main Event

This year Yuji is yet again travelling to Las Vegas, United States to play not only side events but of course also the main event. He will be playing as a PokerLoco player and we  are certain that he will do a really good job representing not only us but also showing that Japanese and Asian players are to be counted with on the tables.

Poker is growing in Japan

Japan may not have reached a poker boom yet but as the japanese has a history of digital entertainment and a big interest in all kinds of gaming, we are certain that the online poker boom will eventually also hit Japan. Yuji will surely be a one of the people in Japan who will be a driven force towards creating a thriving poker community and big poker interest in Japan.

Andreas Klick at the Hamburg Masters of Poker

Andreas this weekend played the Hamburh Master of Poker which had a €2100 buy-in and 13 paying places.

Unfortunately Andreas just missed out on the money going out at 19th place.

The world cup starts here…

As we draw closer to the World Cup we here at PokerLoco has just put up a new exciting competition that invites you to fight in your countries colors and lift heavy prizes.

Players have been divided into eight different groups that we’ve based on the geographical location of the each player. Four oppurtunities will be given to each players to try and qualify for the final through specific qualifier tournaments called World Cup Warm-up Qualifier.

The final will hold a $50,000 Added prize pot and 420 people will share the money.

Stand up for your country!

The first qualifier will be held tomorrow the 25th at 20:00CET.
